Being Stuck

3/28/2011

“I’m stuck. I can’t pedal!"

That was my nephew’s frequent cry during his attempts at maneuvering his new tricycle. The wail invariably came with a stuck-out lower lip on the verge.

That is me in my writing.

That is Spring in my backyard.

That is my students when they say they have nothing to write about.

What a great analogy to connect with writer's block. And yet, no writer's block. You created something with such great meaning with this illustration. I'm writing this one in my notebook.

Great connection, love that it's present at each stage of life: childhood, adolescence, adulthood. I guess being "stuck" isn't something we get to outgrow!

MH from booksavors was right--I do love this post. :) What a clever, poetic way to put it. Bravo!
